Fireflies in the Garden
first I would like ot say that when my friends decided to watch this movie I wasn’t thriled at all, I thought it’s going to be boring. and I was right!
but let me start from the cast. Julia Roberts, Ryan Reynolds, Willem Dafoe and Emily Watson. all of them were simply amazing, they have a rally good acting ability, they can deliver a good acting.
The film looked so realistic and could have been a really good movie, with all the lines and the quotes, hadn’t it not being boring, not boring as boring talks and scenes, but as a plot. I simply couldn’t get what was the hell behind the story. okay, it had a meaning, it had some issues (about family, friendship and love), but there was no plot, no moving story, just someone who’s thinking about his childhood memories.
and My freinds didn’t get the story at all, but I can understand that, since they don’t get any film, they don’t understand films.
I didn’t realise that this film is based on a peom by Robert Frost. and I didn’t know that it had anything to dowith it, because Ididn’t know the prom (which has the same title). I just studied this poem at the university, and realised it had something to do with it, and I even checked. so for those who love Robert Frost, the I highly recommend this movie, as I recommended it to my lecturer.
